Everything You Need for IFTA Compliance

A complete IFTA reporting solution for small fleets

Who Is This For?

  • Owner-Operators - Running 1-5 trucks across state lines and filing your own IFTA returns
  • Small Fleet Managers - Managing 5-20 trucks without enterprise TMS software
  • Trucking Company Accountants - Preparing quarterly IFTA filings for your company
  • New Trucking Businesses - Learning IFTA compliance and needing guided calculations

How It Works

  1. Add Your Trucks - Register each truck with name, unit number, and fuel type
  2. Log Fuel Purchases - Enter each fuel stop with date, state, gallons, and cost (or import CSV)
  3. Enter State Mileage - Record miles driven in each state per truck for the quarter
  4. Generate Report - Click one button to calculate MPG, taxable gallons, and net tax per jurisdiction
  5. Export & File - Download your report as CSV and use it to complete your IFTA filing

How IFTA Tax Calculation Works

The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) requires carriers operating in multiple jurisdictions to pay fuel taxes based on miles driven in each state, not where fuel was purchased.

The formula:

  1. Calculate Fleet MPG = Total Miles / Total Gallons
  2. Taxable Gallons per State = State Miles / Fleet MPG
  3. Tax Due per State = Taxable Gallons x State Tax Rate
  4. Tax Paid per State = Gallons Purchased in State x State Tax Rate
  5. Net Tax = Tax Due - Tax Paid (positive = you owe, negative = credit)

Our calculator automates all of this with current tax rates for all IFTA jurisdictions.
